  Employment Watch

The Employment Watch (Municipal Office for Employment and Working Conditions in Rome) was set up to promote workers’ rights through inspections and research.

Rome Town Hall has undertaken the institutional task of putting the issue of rights at the centre of the employment map.

The success of inspections is linked to the efficacy of preventative information campaigns and to knowledge of the job market. For this reason, the multi-disciplinary Employment Watch was set up.

The activities of the Employment Watch Office can be summarised along the following operational lines:

  1. Checks and enquiries into the violation of employment legislation
  2. Information and assistance
  3. Campaigns against hiring employees without a contract
  4. Enquiries and research
