The Director
Federico Bardanzellu
Born in 1954, Federico Bardanzellu obtained a degree in Political Science at “La Sapienza” University in Rome and has worked at Rome Town Hall since 1983. He has also worked in journalism, as a director of a local television network, and in the personnel department of INPS (the National Pension Agency) in Milan.
During his municipal career, Federico Bardanzellu served for eleven years in the Department of Council Housing, where he was Head of Administrative Services from 1992 to 1993. After which, he served in Rome Town Hall's Personnel Department, working with the town councillor, Farinelli (for whom he was personal assistant) in addition to which, he was also responsible for trade union relations.
He took up his first managerial position in 1996 when he was nominated Vice Director of Personnel (1996 – 98). There he was responsible for trade union relations, company training, and work health and safety issues.
He led the Office of Local Employment from its creation in February 1998, as well as running the Municipal Housing Office in August 1998.
Since August 2001 he has been Director of the Department for Local Development, Employment and Training.
He is married with a daughter.
